Landwehr Outfitters

We primarily outfit rifle hunters for trophy mule deer and antelope. We have been in the outfitting business for the past 20 years. Our hunter success rate has remained between 95% and 100%. It is not unusual for us to see 10 to 15 bucks a day. In addition we offer bow hunts for elk on a limited basis (nine per year). Our operation is small. We feel we can better serve our clients this way. We are in camp at all times and actively guide our hunters. We feel that the personal attention is one of the keys to the success of our business. We usually limit the number of hunters in camp to six per hunt, but we can handle eight if your party is that large. Antelope: Most of our trophy antelope hunting is done on four large leased ranches outside of Jordan, totaling 70,000 acres. Spot and stalk is our normal method of hunting. Most of our hunters take antelope in the 13 to 15 inch class. We have nice weather during antelope season and we see lots of antelope. This is a hunt you won't soon forget. Mule Deer: We hunt trophy mule deer along the shores of Fort Peck Reservoir. This is in the Missouri River Breaks, all of which is part of the Charles M. Russell Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is over 1,250,000 acres and we have one of a limited number of permits to outfit on the refuge. Typically we use boats to gain access to our favorite hunting spots. The "breaks" have been known as one of the best mule deer hunting areas in the U. S. for years.
