Winter is a magical time in Missouri River Country. The lush green grasses of our prairies become covered with a soft blanket of snow. When the lakes freeze over, we fish them. When the trails freeze over, we take to our skis and snowshoes and explore them. Life does not slow down in Northeast Montana—in fact, winter marks a unique time to experience our communities and landscapes. Not to mention winter sunsets are extraordinarily beautiful.
Montana is open for exploration, and we know more room to roam is at the top of everyone’s list right now.
