Montana’s Missouri River Country is the official destination marketing organization (DMO) for northeastern Montana. Our mission is to inspire travelers to explore this wide-open corner of the state—bringing more overnight visitors to our local lodging properties and boosting spending in our businesses and communities.
We proudly serve eight counties—Phillips, Garfield, Valley, Daniels, Sheridan, Roosevelt, Richland and McCone—as well as the Fort Peck and part of the Fort Belknap Reservations. Stretching from the North Dakota border in the east to the Canadian border in the north, Missouri River Country offers visitors an expansive and unforgettable Montana experience that is treasured and true to the spirit of Montana.
As your regional DMO, our goal is to increase awareness of the region, encourage visitation and support the businesses and communities that make Missouri River Country unique.

The Missouri River Country Board meets on the third Tuesday of each month. Note that it’s preferred that members attend in-person in Wolf Point, but we do offer a virtual option for attendance when needed. Meetings begin at 10:00 a.m. and typically conclude around 12:00 p.m.
